The Italian breakfast usually consists of coffee and pastry and it is very difficult to find places in Rome that serve a slightly more varied breakfast with eggs and vegetables. After our last visit to Rome, we have prepared a list of places that serve a slightly different breakfast:

The Hoxton Hotel
The beautiful Cugino restaurant located inside the cool Hoxton hotel, serves breakfast from 7am. We loved the scrambled eggs and avocado toast!

The Hoxton hotel, Address: Largo Benedetto Marcello, 220, 00198 Roma, Italy

Vivi Bistrot
Located in the charming Piazza Navona is this cozy bistro, offering muesli, scrambled eggs with bacon, and much more.
Open from 10:00 am.

This modern European restaurant uses only organic, seasonal ingredients that are sourced from small businesses in Italy. The place is located in the Ostiense neighborhood and is open every day from 9 am.

I love Barnum Cafe, it’s one of my favorite places to work in Rome when I’m taking my laptop with me! I have never heard of Marigold though, I’ll try it out next time I’m in Rome. I love lots of small coffee shops to have breakfast too, but then again, I’m the kind of person that will eat two or three pastries in the morning (hum hum). Thanks for these new addresses!
