Our stay at Hotel PACAI in Vilnius is something we won’t forget anytime soon. Once again, we arrived in the middle of winter, cold, snowy, cinematic European winter vibes, but well dressed and in an adventurous mood. The hotel hosted us, and the experience was nothing short of special: a perfect blend of history, luxury, tranquility, and an unbeatable location in the very heart of the Old Town.
A Historic Mansion with a Story
Hotel PACAI is housed in a 17th-century historic mansion (around 350 years old) that once belonged to one of Lithuania’s most prominent noble families. The building has been meticulously restored, preserving its historic character: high ceilings, original architectural details, and impressive spaces, while seamlessly incorporating a contemporary, elegant, and refined design.
One of the hotel’s most distinctive features is that no two rooms are exactly alike. Due to the history and structure of the mansion, each room and suite has its own unique layout and design, adding a strong sense of character and individuality.
Five-Star Luxury in the Heart of the Old Town
This is a five-star hotel with understated elegance and quiet luxury, perfectly located in the center of Vilnius’ Old Town. Everything is within walking distance: charming streets, historic squares, shops, galleries, cafés, and restaurants of every kind. It’s the kind of hotel that invites you to simply step outside and let the city lead the way.
Rooms and Suites
We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The high ceilings create a sense of grandeur and openness, while the décor manages to feel both elegant and warm.
The hotel offers a wide range of rooms and suites, including especially large and impressive Presidential Suites. Prices are very reasonable considering the hotel’s level and compared to other European cities, especially for a five-star experience in such a prime location.
Thoughtful, Exceptional Service
One of the things that impressed us most was the staff. The service was exceptional, warm, attentive, proactive, and genuinely thoughtful. Without us even asking, they offered to show us different room and suite categories, including the Presidential Suite.
When we left early in the morning for our flight, before breakfast hours, a packed breakfast box was waiting for us. These small gestures make a big difference.
Spa, Calm, and Relaxation
The hotel features an intimate and beautifully designed spa, with a sauna, hammam, and a variety of treatments. It’s a serene, calming space and the perfect way to end a day of exploring the cold city. The contrast between the wintery outdoors and the warm, peaceful interior works perfectly here.
A Perfect Breakfast
Breakfast at the hotel is excellent. A rich and varied buffet is complemented by the option to choose a main dish from the menu. The quality is high, the selection is generous, and everything is served in an elegant and delicious way. A perfect start to a day in Vilnius.

A winter getaway in Vilnius, especially when the city is covered in snow, gains an extra layer of depth and character when staying here. This hotel is ideal for couples, friends, and anyone looking for a stylish city break with calm, soul, comfort, and indulgence. We stayed at the hotel for two nights and combined it with another two nights at a hotel outside the city, which made for a perfect vacation in Lithuania.
