After hearing so many good things about the brunch of Cafe Popular, we decided to go and check it on our own. The brunch is served every Friday and Saturday between 10:00-14:00 (it’s recommended to book a table at least three weeks in advance).
The restaurant is located on the entrance floor of the Jacobs Samuel Hotel (at the intersection of Dizengoff and Arlozorov) and is open to the street (as opposed to the Cafe Popular bar that is located on the basement floor). The price for the brunch is 98 NIS per person and includes 14 tasty dishes (small and medium) served to the center of the table (with a nonstop refill for each dish).
The experience is really fun, you don’t have to order from the menu because all the dishes come to the table. Every few minutes a waiter arrives with another interesting and tasty dish. The dishes are unique and are not like all the usual breakfast dishes we usually see. The waiters were really nice and always came to ask which of the dishes we wanted to be refilled. There are lots of waiters and you do not have to wait an hour until a waiter notices you. Certainly considerable attention in this area.
In short, the meal certainly exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!
