The international culinary magazine Gault Millau invited us to experience their new culinary tour – 12 dishes at 12 restaurants in Tel Aviv. The meeting point was at the beginning of Rothschild Street where the guide David was waiting for us with a branded yellow minibus. Each person received a bottle of water and the culinary guide of Gault Millau. The minibus transportation in the afternoon allowed a fast and smooth ride between the stations
Station number 1: Bar-A-Vin The dish: Beef cheek Croquet
Station No. 2: Aria The dish: Burned Cookie St. Jacques with brown butter on almond cream, Iranian raisin and blue crab bisque.
Station number 3: Ouzaria The Dish: Beetroot ravioli stuffed with goat cheese
Station No. 4: Yom-Tov Delicatessen The dish: a hibiscus flower, stuffed with goat’s and sheep’s cream in olive oil and white wine.
Station No. 5: Cafe Levinsky The dish: a soda drink made from essences and extracts of fruits and herbs
Station No. 6: Burekas TLV Dishes: Shrimps Burekas, Goat Cheese Burekas and “Philly cheesesteak” Burekas
Station number 7: Panda Pita The dish: Sabich Pita
Station number 8: China Club The dish: Crispy chicken – chicken on the plancha, crispy skin over crispy sticky rice cubes.
Station No. 9: Kab Kem The Dish: Iceberg Lettuce, covering a piece of sea buss fillet with herbs, roasted coconut, onions and crispy garlic, cashews and a delicate spicy tamarind sauce.
Station number 10: Ya-Pan The dish: Puri with sea fish tartar, sweet ponzu, yolk and chives
Station number 11: Alena at the Norman Hotel The dish: eggplant tortellini burnt with oregano butter and dried hyssop
Station number 12: A drink at sunset at Albert Square
The tour was a dazzling success with a fun and light atmosphere, and presented a perfect combination of street food and gourmet food. All the dishes were simply delicious and varied! Definitely recommended to friends who visit from abroad and want to taste everything that the city has to offer, in one day. The tour is also suitable for groups that want to celebrate something or individuals. Duration: 3 hours
