We have been to London many times, and every time we discover new cool restaurants and cafes. We’ve put together our top five best restaurants we loved on our latest trip to London 🙂

Sophie’s Soho

Location: Soho, London
Why we love it? Huge and gorgeous restaurant with a bar atmosphere, although we did not make reservations and the place was packed, we found a table. Centrally located, great food! The place is very large with lots of space, there is a huge chandelier in the center of the restaurant and a glass ceiling. Located in Soho within walking distance from Piccadilly Circus and Chinatown.

The Barge House

Why we love it? Perfect location right on the Shoreditch canals, away from all the tourists, and the waiters are very friendly 🙂 if you are there for brunch, try their ‘breakfast in bread’.

Gold Notting Hill

Why we love it? One of the most hyped restaurants in London, and it’s hard to find a table, so make reservations in advance. Excellent food, special dishes, a cool atmosphere, something between a bar and a restaurant (in the evening anyway). Beautiful design!

Granger & Co. Chelsea

Why we love it? A hidden corner on a magical street that we happened to find near our hotel. A cafe with meticulous and minimalist design, special omelets, delicious fresh food and away from the crowds of tourists that makes you feel like a local.

Chiltern Firehouse

Why we love it? A luxurious yet chic restaurant within a building that used to be a fire station and today serves as a luxury hotel. Cool atmosphere with (sometimes you can spot a celebrity:)). Excellent food and very professional service. We recommend making reservations in advance.

Mr. Fogg’s Residence

Speak Easy cocktail bar in the Mayfair neighborhood in central London. Why we love it? Wacky 1920’s style design, specialty cocktails, and cool atmosphere. A perfect way to start the evening before dinner (the bar is located very close to many good restaurants). We recommend making reservations in advance. The chain has other equally beautiful bars throughout London.

Jean-Georges at The Connaught

If you are in London, then you must experience the afternoon tea at least once. It’s an English ceremony that includes tea, small sandwiches, scones with cream and jam and a tower of sweets. Most places that offer “afternoon tea” are hotels. Why we love it? Real luxury, feel like part of the London royalty, perfect sweets, excellent service, and unique design. The restaurant is located at the Connaught hotel.
